Mariflamme – The Flag of Lorenzburg

Mariflamme (Flame of the Sea) is the blue and silver flag of Lorenzburg. On the national flag, Lorenzburg’s symbolic crowned pearl is displayed against a blue background. The motif serves as a reminder that even very small things—like pearls and micronations—can bring good into the world by transforming friction into beauty!

The Greater Coat of Arms

The Greater Coat of Arms is a unifying symbol for all Lorenzburgers across the world. The shield is quartered by a gold cross with outward-curving arms, and it bears an inescutcheon displaying the dynastic arms of the princely house.

The first and fourth quarters of the main shield feature, on a red field, a golden open crown above a golden pea. The second and third quarters display, on a blue field, a silver open crown above a silver pearl.

The main shield is topped with a princely crown.

Supporting the shield are two heraldic panthers, each crowned with a princely crown and emitting flames from all bodily orifices. The sinister panther holds a golden lance bearing the Mariflamme as its banner, while the dexter panther holds a golden lance bearing the Oriflamme. The panthers stand upon a golden pedestal.

The entire ensemble is enclosed within a red, ermine-lined pavilion crowned with a princely crown, adorned with golden fringe and tied with gold cords ending in tassels. The base of the pavilion’s dome is surrounded by an ermine border with five visible points, resembling those found on princely crowns.
